Please read this letter from Dr. Kaiser which includes details of the schedule to return to school in 2021. Stay safe and well, Hornets!
December 15, 2020
Late last week, the Marion County Public Health Department (MCPHD) announced in person learning could resume for Marion County schools as early as Monday, January 4, 2021.
Beech Grove City Schools will adopt the following schedule for return to school:
- All BGCS students will return to virtual/eLearning on Monday, January 4.
- Kindergarten through 6th grade students will return to in person learning Monday through Friday starting on Monday, January 11.
- Students in grades 7-12 will return to their Hybrid Learning schedule starting on Monday, January 11.
Monday, January 18 will remain a Holiday to celebrate the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and school will not be in session on that day.
We will continue to follow the guidance of the Marion County Public Health Department and will adjust our plan, as needed, based on their recommendations.
The health department recommends that no large gatherings be held over Winter Break and that families continue to socially distance, wear face masks, wash their hands thoroughly, and continue to monitor their family’s health symptoms.
If there are changes to our plans, they will be communicated to you via a Skyward notification, in the Hornet Blast, on our website, and on our district Facebook page.
Enjoy your Winter Break…and, Happy Holidays!
Paul A. Kaiser, PhD.
